React to your passion

The Charis Bible training Center of Russia presented a purity conference two weeks ago. The picture says, "Passion Within: Changing the worlds mentalities of passion..." Well, I know the Passion within part, but the white sentence below the firey words I don't remember! :D But you get the picture...I hope!

Well, with the picture out of the way :D I will move onto a lesson I taught at the Bible College.

Actions speak louder than words. That got me thinking: What are God's actions. After all, why does He operate the way He does?

There is a lot to be said about it all. John 3:16 says that God loved the world soooooo much, that he reacted to His passion. Christ wasn't a vague promise He had no intention of giving to us. Anything we do, if it is not motivated by love, is in vain.

It is amazing to meditate on the scripture that talks about God's love in us. He doesn't just say He loves us, He shows it! Jesus is our access to grace. He gave us the faith we needed to be saved! Without Christ, no one could receive salvation.

This gives me food for thought. I want to be like my God. He is the perfect role model after all. And when He says, "I will provide for all your needs", He has the power to back it up! When He told His disciples that the Holy Ghost would be their Comforter, giving them power to go unto all the world preaching the Gospel of Christ, He performed!

Praise God I am not wandering through life aimless. I know the BIG picture and am humbled to be thought lovely enough to be a part of it!

My love for God is real. That is why I will be reacting to Jesus for many years to come. After all, because God loves me, I now have everlasting life with Him. A relationship no man can destroy. A love relationship so strong nothing can separate me from my God. That's extreme comfort.

Well, Russia is becoming my favorite trip I've taken and it is rapidly involving sometimes from the Bible College to teaching at the Rehab center. Knowing that those people are hearing and believing on the Grace Gospel is precious to me. They are a good bunch of christians (most brand new to faith in Jesus). I'm so glad to be a part of growth spiritually no matter how small. I know they will be beacons of light for the rest of there life.

I love you guys and really appreciate all who helped me on this trip financially. I couldn't be here without you! Thank you very much!

Russia

Here's a picture of Karelia, a mini missions trip I went with a team.
I landed in Russia March 16th. It's almost been an entire month!

The students at the Bible College are only part time and are on fire for the Lord. There are Indians, Africans, and Russians all gathering together in the name of Jesus.

I really appreciate the Picketts for allowing me to come to their school and give truth to the lives of these people.

There is also a rehab center where some people have accepted Jesus and are trying to grow spiritually as they realize, some for the first time, that they have a purpose in life! I love witnessing to these people as well.

Life out here is great. I love it! My room mate is an awesome God loving person and he is nice company to have!

Lately at school, I've been teaching on the foundation of Christ. A foundation is the basis for which something rests. Therefore, we should rest on Jesus as we build our lives. Also, it is what we put our faith in, so to speak. We trust it to hold our weight and the things we build.

I have been talking to the first year students about how we should get to know the integrity of Jesus because it is He who we base our life off of. If not for Jesus, we couldn't hold our own ground in this world.

4 weeks here and I still believe God wanted me to come here. Some of the students are convinced I'll stay long term. :) God knows about that, but I sure don't.

I have decisions to make this year. Decisions that will dictate the conditions of my life for a while to come. So I have to think seriously and hard about some of them. I must weigh the fruits of those decisions and ultimately decide what God wants me to do. I know He will bless me.

So, I'm not just surviving, I'm thriving! In God's word and in the world of Russia. I can't wait for more of this ministry to unfold. I'm grateful God is using me for His glory.

Jesus is my truth search,
Darren
